Mother, Vivian loves hiking and marks all her favorite spots on her map to remember them. She loves the sunset when the autumn leaves are falling but is sad to see hiking season ending.

Father, Lance enjoys hiking too, but is a true birdwatcher. He can mimick bird calls and often shares his binoculars with the kids--but always is a bit worried they may drop them.

Sister, Carlie loves to travel. She can't sleep the night before a big trip and can't sit still on the way there. When she is older, her dream is to get a camper.

Baby Brother, Justin gets dragged around by big sister who is always busy doing something. He has an acorn collection so when he is looking for acorns he is often so absorbed he notices nothing else.
